The WCHA is not taking applications for the Section 8 waiting list at this time.

Applying for Housing

To apply for housing, please stop by our office at 401 West 18th Street between 8:00am and 4:30pm Monday through Wednesday or Friday to pick up an application.  (The office is closed to walk-ins on Thursday 8:00am to 1:00pm.)  Applications are taken at the housing authority central office for Coloma Homes, Garden Homes, Civic Plaza I and Cedar Woods Apartments.  For the Ster-Lynn Estates project, that office is open from 11:00am to 2:00pm or applications may be mailed upon request.  For more information or to request an application be mailed to you, contact us at 815-625-0581. 

Notice of Public Hearing

This shall serve as Public Notice that the Whiteside County Housing Authority is re-opening their Section VIII Housing Choice Voucher waiting list. The wait list will open on Tuesday, May 21 st 2024 at 9 a.m. Applications may be picked up and returned to the Whiteside County Housing Authority main office building, located at 401 West 18th St. Rock Falls, IL.

 

A valid Driver’s License or State issued I.D. and proof income will be required when the application is turned back in. All applications must be returned in person by the head of household. An application should take about 10 minutes to complete.
